An inbox, not a forwarding address
Forwarding passes incoming mail on immediately without storing it. Here, mail addressed to your verified domain stays in your Free Domain Mail inbox for 30 days — read it on the web, or fetch codes, links and full messages through the API. This is a read-only inbox — nothing is ever forwarded or sent from your address.
From domain to inbox
- Add your domain. You need a domain you control and access to its authoritative DNS records.
- Add two DNS records. A TXT record verifies ownership; an MX record points the domain to Free Domain Mail.
- Press Check DNS. Wait for the records to propagate, then confirm they were found.
- Read your mail. Mail sent to any address at your domain — anything@yourdomain.com — appears in your inbox and through the API.

What the free beta includes
Free Domain Mail is receive-only — it never sends mail on your behalf. The service has daily limits on adding domains. Check the current limits in the app before relying on a particular volume. There is no published storage allowance or uptime SLA.
Webmail is available for reading incoming mail. IMAP, SMTP and POP3 access for Outlook, Apple Mail or Thunderbird is not available. Your verified domain gets a catch-all inbox that receives at every address, plus an API that returns codes and links from incoming mail. There are no aliases, shared mailboxes, automatic forwarding, outbound sending or stored file attachments. Beta limits may change.
Who this is for
It suits a freelancer, developer, solo founder or small project that owns a domain and needs a few addresses with modest daily traffic. If you need a desktop mail client, bulk sending, team mailboxes, guaranteed availability or a published retention and backup policy, choose a service that provides those requirements.
Common questions
Do I need to move my domain?
No. Keep your registrar. Add the records at the DNS provider currently authoritative for your domain.
Can I use an address at a domain I do not own?
No. Setup requires DNS access to verify the domain.
Can I connect Outlook or Apple Mail?
No. Mail is currently available through Free Domain Mail webmail, without IMAP, SMTP or POP3 client access.
Is this the same as email forwarding?
No. Forwarding passes mail on immediately without storing it. Here, incoming mail stays in your Free Domain Mail inbox for 30 days and nothing is forwarded or sent anywhere else.
Will my messages always reach the recipient's inbox?
Delivery depends on DNS, domain reputation and the recipient's mail provider. Inbox placement is not guaranteed.
